Top 5 Tips for Traveling to Myrtle Beach in 2021

The unique circumstances of 2020 caused everyone to face certain challenges when it came to traveling. As the year 2020 comes to a close, we know things won’t return to the way they were overnight, but we’re excited for what 2021 holds and looking forward to welcoming safe travel back to Myrtle Beach. If you’re planning a getaway to the Grand Strand in the near future, here are our top tips to keep in mind:

TIP #1: BOOK EARLY

With many travel plans postponed to 2021, it’s more important than ever to book your Myrtle Beach vacation early. Oceanfront accommodations are sure to book up quickly as everyone is ready to leave their homes for warmer temps and splash in the ocean. Plus, if you book early, you’ll get better deals. At Brittain Resorts and Hotels we’re currently offering a 14-day notice for cancellations and a 30-day for North Beach Plantation. Within that time period, you’re allowed to push your dates back free of charge and the deposit that was previously applied will be applied to it. However, room rates are subject to change. TIP #2: BOOK DIRECT

While you typically may do a quick search to find the best deals for accommodations, when it comes to booking in 2021, we suggest booking your stay directly with us. This helps ensure you are getting the exact accommodations you want and allows us to better assist all your vacation needs. Looking for a room on the first floor near the oceanfront pool? No problem. TIP #3: CREATE AN ITINERARY

For the planners in the group, you can skip over this tip. But for those who typically “wing it” on vacation, we suggest making a loose itinerary for your upcoming trip. It’s better to go ahead and do a little research into the restaurants and attractions that are open and discover if there are any restrictions. That way you won’t show up with your family expecting an afternoon’s worth of entertainment, only to be faced with an unexpected “Closed” sign. There are plenty of attraction options that are open and welcoming visitors, so you’ll have no problem finding plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. You’ll be able to relax more when you’re actually on vacation with a list of places you’re hoping to visit.

TIP #4: PLAN MEALS

While you’re in the planning mode, we suggest planning your meals ahead of time. We have some resorts that offer breakfast packages while others feature condos with state-of-the-art kitchens so you’re fully equipped to prepare your meals. All of our resorts have onsite dining options so you won’t have to go far to enjoy a meal with your family and friends. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants in Myrtle Beach that offer indoor and outdoor dining options. TIP #5: GET OUTDOORS

Whether it’s parasailing over the water or biking along the Boardwalk, Myrtle Beach offers a ton of outdoor attractions to take advantage of when you visit. What better time than the new year to challenge yourself to try new activities you’ve never experienced before such as wakeboarding at Shark Wake Park, horseback riding at Wampee Stables, golfing at Top Golf, surfing with Jack’s Surf Lessons, miniature golfing at Mt. Atlanticus, or kayaking with Glassbottom Kayak Tours. Searching for the perfect souvenir?
