And with an array of fun Halloween-themed activities on tap for visitors of all ages (all in addition to the area’s array of exciting-anytime attractions), Myrtle Beach makes for a great All Hallows’ Eve destination of choice.

Halloween Activities for Families:

Monster Dash 5K and Spooky Shuffle

Scheduled for October 28 at Myrtle Beach shopping/dining/entertainment hot spot Broadway at the Beach, the inaugural Monster Dash 5K Run/Walk and 1-mile Spooky Shuffle will get participants (and spectators) in the Halloween spirit by encouraging all to wear their favorite costumes. Prizes will be awarded to the top-ranking ensembles and the winning 5K runners, and family-friendly activities such as a live DJ and raffle prizes will round out the fun.

BooFest!

Get ready to see a charming collection of costumed kids and pets at North Myrtle Beach shopping/dining/entertainment complex Barefoot Landing on October 28. That’s when prizes will be awarded for the best-costumed children (in three separate age categories) and the top critter costumes, too, during the annual BooFest! celebration. And to conclude the evening’s Halloween-themed activities, family-friendly witch flick “Hocus Pocus” will be presented on the big screen at the complex’s Dockside Village Amphitheater.

Halloween on the MarshWalk

At Murrells Inlet’s MarshWalk, a half-mile wooden boardwalk plays host to amazing views of the surrounding saltwater estuary — along with an impressive collection of delicious restaurants (most of which give fresh-caught seafood top billing on their menus). And during October 31’s Halloween on the MarshWalk, the restaurants will all offer food and drink specials while trick-or-treating and costume contests crank up the fun on the boardwalk.

Trick or Treat at Broadway at the Beach

Farther north on the Grand Strand, Halloween will see the restaurants, shops and attractions at Myrtle Beach’s Broadway at the Beach host trick-or-treaters on October 31, too, for the complex’s Trick or Treat at Broadway at the Beach event.
