Before we say farewell to 2021, we’re toasting to the success of a few of the amazing attractions that we welcomed to Myrtle Beach this year.
We’re raising our pint glass of beer to the craft breweries that opened their doors including Crooked Hammock Brewery and Grand Strand Brewing Company.
Crooked Hammock Brewery is located on the waters of Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. This family-friendly craft brewery and restaurant feature a menu full of delicious bites and craft beer, bar seats that swing, brewery tours, and a backyard beer garden full of hammocks, fire pits, games, and a playground for the kids.
Located right near the ocean in the heart of Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand Brewery offers a laid-back beach vibe. With a variety of beers on tap, they frequently host live music on their lawn filled with picnic tables, oversized games, and corn hole.
We’re also raising our mason jar as we toast to a new spot, The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar, which opened in The Market Common. This dessert bar creates incredible, unique shakes and then piles on the toppings. And not just your typical toppings of sprinkles and whip cream – they go big with slices of cake, cheesecake, whole bananas, cookies, and more. You’ll need a spoon and a straw to indulge in their decadent milkshakes.
The year 2021 was one of transformation for a parking lot on 14th Avenue downtown. This space became the Funplex Myrtle Beach, a brand new tropical-themed amusement park. The FunPlex features seven thrilling rides that are sure to provide hours of endless entertainment for the family.
After reminiscing over the past year, we can’t help but get excited about what awaits in the new year.
We’re eagerly anticipating the opening of our newest resort, the oceanfront Marriott Springhill Suites/Courtyard, as construction is set to be complete in early spring. Located next to the Breakers Resorts, this resort tower will be 26 stories tall and offer plenty of amenities including a breakfast dining area, fitness center, outdoor dining area, oceanfront pool, and fire pits.
Surfworks, a brand new American Surf Park, is currently under construction. Offering constant waves in Wavegarden Cove, it’s the perfect place for any age rider to learn to surf. Besides surfing, this complex features volleyball courts, an on-site skatepark, a snack shack, and a large amphitheater. Surf’s up!
Cheers to an amazing year. We can’t wait for more Myrtle Beach vacations, more thrilling attractions, and making even more memories in 2022. It’s never too early to start planning your next Myrtle Beach getaway! Check out our accommodations page for the latest deals.
