A Directory of Must-See Places in Myrtle Beach

Day or night, there’s always something cool to see in Myrtle Beach. Some are iconic, some little-known. All are spectacular.

It’s tough to narrow it down to a list like this, but here we are.

These are spots on the Grand Strand you’ll find appealing. You’ll want to snap some photos, get them in your feed, and share them with your followers. If anything, to brag a little that you were here!

Your Index of Must-See Spots on the Grand Strand

1. Broadway at the Beach

Yes, that building is upside down! That’s WonderWorks. It’s a fabulous attraction with more than 100 hands-on science exhibits and more. It’s also home to fabulous shopping, scrumptious dining, and so much more.

PRO TIP: Check out the fireworks calendar for pyrotechnics all summer long.

2. Ripley’s Aquarium

This is a beautiful place for the whole family. Check out underwater viewing of sea life, a penguin habitat, and more. See so much in exhibits, shows, and an awesome gift shop. See the schedule for Breakfast with a Mermaid for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

PRO TIP: Need to stop for lunch before you see it all? No problem: Your admission allows you to leave and return the same day.

3. SkyWheel Myrtle Beach

This is one attraction that’s as awesome to look at as it is to look at the Grand Strand from! It’s a blast to ride with friends for a view of Myrtle Beach like you’ve never seen before. And it’s lit up in amazing color at night for incredible photo ops, too.

PRO TIP: Get up early for the Rise and Ride sunrise tour to see the dawn break on the Atlantic.

4. Barefoot Landing

So much to see here! Come to North Myrtle Beach for beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Also, you’ll see must-have items in quaint little shops. And Instagram-worthy eats as several stellar restaurants. Come enjoy the nightlife, fireworks, and spectacular shows at Alabama Theatre.

There’s a lot to see on 1.2 miles of oceanfront boardwalk. Between Pier 14 and the 2nd Avenue Pier, find places to eat, play, and shop. The Gay Dolphin Gift Cove is a must-see shopping experience!

PRO TIP: How’d you like to stay right in the middle of it all? Bay View Resort, a Brittain Resort, is on the boardwalk!
