Golf fans can look forward to the return of the ONEFlight Myrtle Beach Classic, taking place May 7–10, 2026. Now in its third year, the PGA TOUR event brings top professional golfers to the iconic Dunes Golf and Beach Club, further solidifying Myrtle Beach’s reputation as the Golf Capital of the World.
Music lovers will also flock to the beach for the Carolina Country Music Festival, June 4–7, 2026. Celebrating its 11th year, the oceanfront festival features major headliners including Blake Shelton, Post Malone, Luke Bryan, and Riley Green.
Family Attractions Celebrating Big Milestones
Myrtle Beach’s family attractions are also marking exciting anniversaries this year. Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show celebrates its 15th anniversary with a brand-new South Pacific Celebration, featuring colorful costumes, high-energy dance performances, and thrilling fire displays.
Meanwhile, Family Kingdom Amusement Park turns 60 and is adding a custom single-rail roller coaster reaching heights of 100 feet and speeds up to 50 mph. Three additional rides are also scheduled to open in summer 2026, bringing even more excitement to the oceanfront amusement park.

Nature and culture lovers will find new reasons to explore Myrtle Beach this year as well. Brookgreen Gardens recently unveiled a stunning $17 million conservatory and welcome center featuring immersive botanical displays, a dramatic Green Wall, and plans for a future butterfly center.
Downtown Myrtle Beach is also expanding its arts and entertainment offerings, with a new performing arts center expected to open at the former Broadway Theater location in summer 2026.
Sports and recreation continue to grow, too. Pelicans Ballpark is undergoing a $20 million renovation set for completion in spring 2026, while The PicklePort will introduce a premier indoor and outdoor pickleball venue later in the year. In North Myrtle Beach, the new Alley Oops entertainment venue will combine bowling, arcade games, virtual reality, and dining for a fun all-ages experience.

Along the oceanfront, The Whistling Duck at Surfside Pier offers locally sourced charcuterie, creative small plates, and stunning coastal views.
Broadway at the Beach will soon welcome Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Co., bringing an indoor-outdoor venue with a beer garden and interactive experiences. Also arriving in 2026 is Guy Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown, a massive 50,000-square-foot destination featuring a chef-driven menu, tiki bar, bowling alley, and arcade games.
